NASA honour for Indian entrepreneur, Renjith Kumar

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has presented its highest honour for Quality and Performance, the George M. Low Award, to Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA), a company based in Virginia whose CEO is Renjith Kumar.


Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission

The Central Government constituted the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC) under the chairmanship of former Justice B. N. Srikrishna to rewrite and harmonise financial sector legislations, rules and regulations.

Abel Prize awarded to John Willard Milnor

The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters has chosen one of the living legends of mathematics, John Willard Milnor of the Institute for Mathematical Sciences in the University of Stony Brook, U.S.A, for the award of its prestigious Abel Prize for the year 2011.


National award for CRIDA

Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) received an award for National Water Conservation from the Ministry of Water Resources in the institution category for the research programme conducted by them on water conservation and ground water recharge.

Dr. B. Venkateshwarlu, Director, CRIDA , received the award form Salman Khurshid, Union Minister of Water Resources.


Air India gets two awards

Air India has been adjudged the best airline MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) and best engine MRO in the country.
The awards were given away at the first international exhibition and conference on MRO held in Mumbai

Wipro Technologies has received Reader's Choice Award for the third consecutive year from Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) magazine.


‘Best Retail Bank in India' award

HDFC Bank has won The Asian Banker's ‘Best Retail Bank in India' award this year. Beating a host of other competitors in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa on a range of parameters, the bank has won the award for the fifth year in a row.
