Expert committee to quantify black money

The government is set up a committee of experts to estimate the quantum of black money and suggest measures to prevent generation of unaccounted wealth.

The government has entered into Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with 10 countries. India has amended the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) with 23 countries to enable the government to seek banking information.


UNESCO award for Chowmahalla Palace

The prestigious UNESCO Asia Pacific Merit award for cultural heritage conservation will be presented to Chowmahalla Palace.
UNESCO representative Takahiko Makino will formally handover the plaque and certificate to Princess Esra, former wife and GPA holder of Prince Mukarram Jah Bahadur.

ANGRAU bags prestigious national award

The Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University has been awarded the second best performance State agricultural university for the year 2009-10 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
